I'm not sure it's the real Smiths, perhaps a tribute band - but enjoy anyway

I first saw the real Smiths in March 1984 at De Monfort Hall, Leicester, they were excellent

You're lucky Joe, loads of great bands came from Manchester

In Leicester our only claims to fame are
    Kasabian
    Showaddywaddy
    Engelbert Humperndinck
and the legendary Gaye Bykers on Acid

i thought you wrote Gay Dykes

my fav manc band has to be 'James' got to see them on their last tour b4 they broke up in 2001 ( they got back together 5yrs later ), i phoned the misses in the phils while they were playing this song, she said 'where the was I"

i'm in the crowd somewhere in this video, the night i went, they filmed and put it out on dvd, one of my most prized possessions

De Montfort Hall. Know it well. Saw Elton John and a whole heap of other artists / bands there. Back in the late mid to late 70s.

Yep. Saw Judas Priest, Barclay James Harvest, Rod Stewart and many more there.

Also saw the embryonic Boomtown Rats at the University nearby.
