Didn't affect ME personally - since MY Filipina wife happened to be childless - hence my hesitancy about providing an answer to Marie's query. Somehow or other,I'd been under the *delusion [*obviously!] that dependants under the age of 18 could accompany their parent(s) to the UK free of charge ... although uncertain.
