My own family lives in the area where the flood hits. I also went into panic and been stressed out when i tried to contact them. I was able to phone my sister at the peak of them evacuating to the higher ground which is the road actually. She's not able to answer the phone as they are fleeing with the water up to their armpits
I can hear the scream and shouting as will as crying of the people while I'm talking to her on the mobile, Everything on the lower portion of our house were washed out. Water had reached the second portion of our house. They ran barefoot as they could not locate their sleepers and shoes, pitch dark as the electrict current was cut off already. I'm just glad that the rewindable flashlight bought by my husband here in the uk at aldi's was there and they used it to lit there way. Though most of our things perished I'm just glad their alright, but I'm still sad cause so many of my co barangay people had lost their lives. Such a great tragedy specially it's christmas soon. The devastation really made me cry.
