Hi folks been awhile since i have been active on the forum due to me starting a new job which unfortunatley is shift work.

my question is what is the procedure to apply for balikbayan privilege when me & my wife go to the phils in june we will be staying for four weeks

Hi steve, happy new year to you both.

For Balikbayan stamp, both of you approach the lane immigration officer together. Smile.Hand over both passports together. Smile. Best approach is that your wife will request balikbayan privileges for you both and be sure the request is positively acknowledged. Smile. Check that the stamp just given is BB 1 year.
Smile and go to baggage carousel. Smile

All is ok as long as you can prove you are married and that one of you has RP citizenship.
If your wife is travelling on an British passport, she will need to show her RP citizenship certificate.

My wife still has her phils passport & our marriage cert but im not sure she has her phils citizen cert will this be a poroblem?

That's fine, she only needs the Phils citizenship certificate is she travels on a British passport.

I made a typo in my earlier post. Have done the needed edit now. Sorry for confusion
