Book flight for my wife to come to uk

Hi , just tried to book my wifes flight to come to the uk but it won't let me finalise the booking as I am not one of the traveling party is the any way round this problem . I called customer service of emirates but I gave up trying to explain the problem as the lady I was talking to couldn't understand me any ideas will be so much appreaciated

Should have no issues booking through a third party say.... expedia...

I personally will book a low cost airline to Hong Kong and then a flight from Hong Kong to England as its normally cheaper..
