I think the problem with this country Miles is that we've been far too tolerant and accepting for far too long. I really don't read too much hate and bigotry in the comments above and probably agree with you that you are somewhat lacking in a sense of humour.
The original thread merely highlights the laughable state of our Country and its benefits system today. Most right minded people would find this laughable and I'm sure the founding Fathers of our welfare system would turn in there graves with the abuses of the system today.
On the subject of the Big Issue I can only say that I'm old enough to remember why this magazine was set up . I think that the fact Circulation has gone from a high of 300,000 to less than 125,000 is due largely to the points raised above.
