... I'm one of the few old codgers on here, whose late teens and early twenties were dominated by Merseyside Bands such as the Beatles, Searchers, Gerry & the Pacemakers - to name but three. Okay, I didn't allude to the Rolling Stones ... but they were formed in London. And then - heading back North - there was Freddie & the Dreamers from Manchester who, in my opinion, are worthy of mention: I fondly recall
my late first wife frequently engaging in a take~off of Freddie's dancing antics
in her pre~arthritic days.
But beyond the 1960s pop era ... my musical recollections become hazy ...... either I'd outgrown this phase, the "talent" had seemed to steadily decline (in MY opinion) or I was simply no longer interested.
So, it would be pointless of me to comment further.
