james for me, they've been around for 30yrs and still at the top

i've been to the Araneta a couple of times, saw Regine Velasquez, Martin Nievera and Oggy Alcasid

All them bands are new romantic if im not mistaken

Not my cup of tea more of a rock man myself but the bands you mention sure did have a big following in the 80s

a common misconception
ABC certainly were but OMD especially were more electro who loosly modelled themselves on Kraftwerk - they went more poppy in the later years but the first 4 albums were modern masterpieces especially architecture and morality their 3rd
