i cannot see any changes affecting those that will be applying for ILR soon, you've come into the UK on a settlement visa and after 2yrs you could apply for ILR, any changes to those people i'm sure will be seen as unfair by any judges

with Joe, Tone & John ... one tradition to which successive British Governments have consistently adhered IS, that they never HAVE sought - NOR ever likely WILL seek - to implement ANY legislation that can be seen to apply retrospectively.
