    The waiting game has begun

I have lodged my spouse visa application last February 15 using VIP premium service. Its only my 3rd day of waiting but its already feels like eternity

Its indeed start of sleepless nights, well its just add to my insomnia. I'm afraid I would turn into zombie while waiting

On a bright side, I am confident that I supplied all relevant documents for the ECO to come into positive outcome except one thing I'm worried about is my husband's last bank statement which was lower in balance than usual because he had to pay for my visa fee and other things. Take note that he never overdrawn and had a healthy balance since last year. He explained clearly on his supporting letter about this and also I included my last 3 months bank statements and bank certificate with some savings and also I wrote a letter explaining my savings would either go towards my trip expenditures or as my pocket money to UK.

I think we've done our part and now we're leaving it up to HIM. Keeping our fingers crossed and staying positive. Patience is all I need now and a lot of prayers. God bless us all

Here's wishing you all best luck and not too much waiting
    Our prayers are with you.

Think positive. I'm sure you covered all the angles and the ECO will have no other choice than to grant.

Have a look on here, the VFS website tells you the fine detail. Basically you pay an extra 1800 pesos for a slightly more comfortable appointment. You can book with a minimum of 24 hours notice and select a time of day that is convenient for you, there are free refreshments etc etc and you get personal attention as soon you arrive. My wife had to travel in to Manila from Cavite on several jeepneys / trycycles etc etc with a parcel that was almost as big as she was so I paid the extra for the convenience for her. It was all done in about 20 minutes. Yes it is an extra 1800 but not so much considering all the other financial outlay. It doesnt give you any priority in terms of the processing, just in terms of the submission of the application.

As I have said before, I am not an expert in these matters but although I didn't go overdrawn either I came close to it a few times along the way. I have a current account where you cant go overdrawn (my choice) and a few times in the 6 months, towards the end of the month, my phone bill showed as paid then refused on my statement as I had drained my current account for the month and the ECO must have been happy with that. It was something that played on my mind, during the wait after submission, but from the sound of it, I imagine that your hubby's financial paperwork will be fine.

I presume you have read the postings by Eyes ODonnell.....

Looks like they are taking a bit longer to process just now.

    Thanks lastlid.

Yes its only thing that worries me but as I say he explained it on the covering letter so I hope the ECO consider that, the rest of the documents are all good. For Funds: We supplied 6 months of his paylips, his P60, his employment contract with 40,000 p.a., last 7 months bank statements with 2-4K pounds on it but the last statement was lower in balance. I also supplied my last 3 months bank statements and bank certificate with some savings enough for airfare one way and some as pocket money to UK.

We won't know the outcome til I get the visa. Yeah I heard its taking quite a while these days due to several reasons. We don't have a choice but to wait, wait and wait.. staying positive here

Please don't worry about the depletion in your husband's bank balance, Juvy ... it's perfectly understandable his funds will have taken a bit of a "knock" after paying the hefty visa fee. What's more important is the fact that he's not overdrawn ... plus, you've both written letters explaining your situation. Everything's under control, honestly!

Once again, all the very best with your application.

Thanks for the reply lastlid, I would rather not get it, it's still a huge amount of money just to get a welcome, I thought they would somehow expedite the whole processing of the visa but thanks for clarifying this.

I do not think you need a "good luck" quote, i am sure you will get the visa with what you have supplied to them in documents.

married in UK but not in the Phils.

Hi everyone! I would just like to ask if the marriage is done in UK yet not here in the Phils.,is it just ok to apply for a spousal visa showing the marriage contract from UK? If the marriage is done in UK, is it necessarily to report the marriage to the Phils. embassy London before the Filipino spouse can apply for a change of passport carrying the husband's name already and before she can apply for a spousal visa? or the British Marriage Contract will already work in both change of passport and application for spousal visa? and for the application of spousal visa, is it still necessary to submit certificate of no marriage apart from the marriage certificate they have? Your reply will be much appreciated. Thank u in advance for this site really helps a lot of people. God bless us all!!!
