Basically, it's a celebratory event ... featuring Philippines' culture - including singing & dancing - [usually] held annually in towns or cities where there are sizeable Filipino communities.

The Hounslow one this year is around 3 weeks earlier than the last few years. Hope it's better weather than last year as it was pretty rubbish! Pretty windy, very dull, wet and muddy!

Does anyone know if there will be one in Glasgow this year?

Well ... Glasgow's first Barrio Fiesta (which my wife & I attended) was held on the 3rd weekend in June 2009.

Then - in 2010 and 2011, respectively - the dates were moved to August.

However - to the best of MY knowledge - there has been no pubic announcement as to when [or, indeed, IF] this year's Festival is likely to take place.
