Our next holiday will be to California in a few months time. My wife's sister and a load of other relatives are there, so we'll be enjoying their hospitality and travelling around a bit.
The flights are booked so now I'm deciding what sort of vehicle to hire. I've had a Mustang and an Explorer previously, so I'll probably go for a MASSIVE SUV. USA! USA!
wow, never been there
I did SanFrancisco, Sacremento, Grand Canyon, Route 66, Las Vegas, Chicago then up to Niagara Falls, Canadian side when I went to the USA. Out of them I loved SanFrancisco and because I have friends in Chicago that was also very memorable. The Shed Aquarium in Chicago is mind blowing.
If you want your dreams to come true ...... first you have to wake up
The USA is a great place to visit. There's so much to see and do! A few of my "highlights":
The cities of San Francisco and Boston
New England, especially the Maine Coast and Rhode Island
The Hoover Dam (I'm an engineering geek, but my wife liked it too)
The Brooklyn Bridge (engineering again)
The Air and Space Museum in Washington DC
And my number one...... driving down the West Coast Highway in a convertible Mustang!
I will be holidaying on the Isle if Wight this year
In other words nowhere
Mick.
Have booked a couple of nights in Blackpool at Easter.
Currently saving for a trip back to the Philippines at Christmas, but as there will be 4 of us now, its starts getting expensive.
We'll be off to San Francisco soon.
My wife got so fed up with me going on about what a great place it is. She somehow tricked me into booking a week there.
We shall be staying in Japantown (naturally)
We're both excited about that.
We've had plenty of holidays all over UK though. Never had anything to complain about any of them (except for the occasional weather!)
Try to get a week in devon plus few long weekends.IIn London too
