the ssrv visa is not cheap as you you have to deposit a large lump of cash to help secure it..why not simply stay for 6 months or year on a tourist visa and find if you still actually like the place before going down the retirement visa road?..personally, i think that the nbi clearance is just a formality.do you honestly think they have the time, resources and know how to check your police record in the uk? when i applied for my 13a the consul in london told me that he had never witnessed a refusal.
