    Filipino Student sentenced over bigamy

A student from the Philippines wed a woman in Watford, despite already being married, in order to apply for residency in the UK.

A stain on the reputation of the normally law abiding Filipinos in the UK. No mention about deporting him ?

i think he got off really lightly, considering what the sham marriage lot usually get. (1yr + in prison)

Thats what I thought - probably because he put his hands up - I don't agree with leniency its easy to say sorry when there's a cast iron case against you.

Gave false info by not declaring himself already married on his visa application. He'd get six of the best in Singapore or Malaysia not a spot of litter picking.
