Can there be a more serious subject - except for one on the bacon butty perhaps!
Inspired by a seminar I was coerced into attending last week on healthy eating, where the speaker raved about the properties of the oat (must be organic, stone milled and marketed by an obscure co-operative, and of course cost a fortune for a bag!), how do you make your porridge.
One Scottish guy gruffly told me it has to be water and salt only (and anything else I'd be called a wee poof)
Another lady said her and her husband spend the summer collecting wild berries, freezing them, so all winter they can put them into the morning porridge (of course they would be a bit slushy after defrosting, but still very fit for this purpose).
She used half water half milk, no salt.
My friend at work just boils it up in water and eats it that way - well that sounds like something I'd only use for sticking up wallpaper!
So never mind how do you eat your creme egg - what is the "proper" way to make this most healthy of breakfasts
