How to make Changes when a new member in the family arrives

My 17 year daughter will be arriving in few days...I am so happy!

But at the same time have mix feelings...I and my husband prepared for this for many years, fought for it in courts, spent money etc, but now the time has come and we are worried, excited, sad...it's a mix feelings

there would be a lot of changes and adjustments specially that our place is too small plus an 18 month old toddler.

Will they get along? money matters? Privacy?

just want to hear what the other family deal with it....

Is it that you are here in the UK and your daughter is joining you here?

If so there will be lots of changes for her, but hopefully all will go well
    Mick.

When I moved here with my Daughter she was 3 years old. I thought I will have problem in Nursery or she might have difficulty to find friends.. etc.. etc.. I was deeply worried too... But on her first day at school. She already settled as if she was born in this country (UK). Infact, I was the one who had separation anxiety not her. She got loads of friends now. I am sure your daughter will be fine.

I hope she doesn't pick up the bad habits of that generation here.

That would be my main concern as a parent...but not much you can do about it.

when my mother in law arrived i knew exactly what to expect because i knew her and the family well..
Your husband should be expected to greet her and treat her in the same way he would a member of his own family..
If he does not then its time for you to put your foot down woman!!
Would you put up with anything less in the Philippines?

Joking aside ...you've worked hard to prepare for this eventuality. And I'm sure everything's going to be fine. God Bless.
