Is Hotmail not working

I've got two international customers who use this when they are on their travels - I tried to mail one on Saturday, the other just now and both came back to my MS Outlook
Failed; 5.3.0 (other or undefined mail system status)

Remote MTA mx1.hotmail.com: network error

i had trouble with hotmail today, i could log in but see my email list pasge but wouldnt open any mail,
so dont know if error on their part or something i been doing with lap top, i thought it was me but reading your bit im not sure, sorry cant help though
