What is MSG?
Sssshhh.. It's Monosodium glutamate, we call it Vetsin here, some people use it as seasoning, but many have said it will cause you cancer later.
Oh right. Yes. MSG goes into a lot of our pre-prepared foods in supermarkets here.
MSG, or Monosodium Glutamate is a salt of the amino acid - Glutamic Acid (glutamate). A salt is the chemical name for a molecule held together by opposite charges. Basically one (mono) sodium atom is "stuck" to the amino acid glutamate.
