Neither Photobucket nor my slide scanner are smart enough to tell me " wrong way round " - no matter how good modern technology there's still room for human error .
I didn't label the slide 34 years ago ( too many Christmas parties and filipinas distracting me ) so I still don't know which road this was.
Doc that's the road in front of Luneta going to Taft Avenue nice

It's good to know that someone who was a baby when I took the photo can now help me identify where it is .
I'm also happy that so many members have appreciated these images, given a new lease of life by modern technology .

i recognize it cause my previous work is in Malate area and i always took a jogging there every morning with my dad from luneta to CCP then back to rajah sulayman near Malate church. And i love to go walking along Manila area i'd like to explore by walking since i'm from the province and it helps me to avoid the traffic hahaha

Wow that's great you still have those, here in Manila its very expensive to ride in horse and carts or what we call 'kalesa', even in baguio just take a picture with the horse and you must pay hahaha

We still do have horses and carts in binondo area or along divisoria.

Yep and we have steam trains here too. I think the Isle of Man inspired the Thomas the Tank Engine stories.

The horse and cart rides arent cheap really but they are great for the tourists.

Baguio. My wife talks about Baguio affectionatley.

Lots of private steam train lines here in England that you can take a ride on (we had the first railways in the world).

    Not far from me.....

    .

In the old days they went much faster of course, but these are just running slowly for the tourists.

You can see why when I was a kid and these were still in use we used to get excited to see one coming...like living monsters.

"Reminiscent of a bygone age, Isle of Man holidays are famous for the island's stunning coastline, superb sandy beaches, spectacular scenery and gentle pace of life. The island also boasts some of the most impressive heritage railways found anywhere in the British Isles."
