Bail-out bank moves jobs to india

A TAXPAYER-subsidised bank was under fire last night for “exporting” hundreds of jobs from Britain to India.

    RBS JOBS TO INDIA

    07.03.12, 2:15am

Let's make a deal: RBS can move 200 jobs to India, so long as they take 400 illegal Indian immigrants with them.

    Aound fair?

Bearing in mind the country owns 82% of this bank I find this disgraceful as much on the part of the Government as the bank. Surely as the country holds a controlling interest in RBS they should be able to put a stop to this.

The self-serving spineless goons in govt. will deliver the usual 'business is business' line no doubt.

Thank goodness my bank's help centre is located here in the UK.

Even better, my Virgin Media contact centre is in Manila.

Aren't Nat West the excuse for a bank that brags about UK call centres on it's TV adverts - Oh this is the failed RBS bit that must make it OK then.

I agree with Joe - take a boatload of illegals with them

Whether you lke It or not..These jobs will continue to go to Indian and Filipino companies..Ive given up trying to call my bank in the U.k.They still think it reasonable to assume that my money is no longer mine and continue to make me jump through hoops to get access to my own legitimate accounts
What happened to the old days when a bank manager knew your name and recognised your voice on a telephone?

Not trying to defend the rogues but not all banks are quite so quick to ship the jobs - I deal with HSBC & Santandar (Business) Nationwide & First Direct (Personal) and they have UK call centres
