i searched the name philand ynterlink here in manila and it is not registered.they said it is a fly by night kind of thing. So where do we go from here?why arent the owners or managers namely peter and yvonne newlove didnt make sure that the boxes that they will be sending to is legal or registered.not even announcements, how do you think people will react?do something, communicate.and to those people who have the same problem, let us complain and so we can get all our boxes.talk to the philippine shippers bureau.let them know your concern.
Hopefully it is true about the person stealing the money in the Philippines, and they are trying to sort it out. If that is the case , they should have informed their customers via letter,website,blog etc, by not doing this they have started the rumours which have grown and grown. i do hope they get it sorted as I have some pickled onions in our box!

Again last night and today,I have been getting texts and emails from people here in Scotland telling me that their boxes have been delivered. As for Kirby telling people that he will be sued by Peter if he continues to reply to customers emails and texts,I will check this out personally when I speak to Peter. That is the problems with rumours bod,people start them then others beleive them. Rumours are not and never will be facts. As for Philand Ynterlink being not registered or being a "fly by night" kind of thing Budz,EVERY box is insured and tracked by us to the Philippines. Let me tell you a few things,WE WILL get through this,WE WILL learn from this,WE WILL have things in place,WE WILL still be the cheapest to send boxes through in spite of rises that are coming along,WE WILL still be here next year after these new laws come into force in the Philippines regarding delivery company's who deliver boxes. Why,because we have worked hard to make things work. This has been a set back for us because of this man in the Philippines embezzling money from this company. We have even had one Filipina trying to tell us that there is no corruption in the Philippines,and that no Filipino would steal from us,and that Philippines Customs computer systems are fine,that they were not continually breaking down since they introduced this new system last year for x-raying the balikbayan boxes. When I asked her why then has the Bureau of Customs been allocated PS193,000,000 to upgrade their systems then,she did not reply! I even sent her the link to show her. We have been double hit by problems with customs and also with your Kabayan embezzling money. Just in case you have not seen the history of why the new x-ray system was introduced,I will include some links for you to read. First of all,the website has been closed down simply because people have been reacting to rumours not facts,and one worried person has been simply making things worse,by feeding into another person's worries. To give you an example,I promised today to get back to you about what Kirby has said. I spoke to Kirby today. He did NOT say anything at all about Peter suing him if he replied to people's emails. People have been ringing him and also turning up at his door,asking him about the boxes. What he said to them,and these are his EXACT words,"i have been telling them I cannot comment on the situation with the boxes in the Philippines as I do not know". He has not been collecting boxes since February. For people who do not know Kirby's situation,his wife and children were in a car crash near the Trafford Centre in Manchester so Kirby has been spending time with them as they were very shook up by the crash. Why then,are people staring all sorts of rumours. Rumours are not facts! People seem more interested in reading the gossip instead of learning the facts. It is also strange,that people seem to come on here to read from others who do not have any facts,yet when I give them the opportunity to speak to me face to face on skype and get some answers no-one takes me up on it? I would have thought that seeing someone face to face and speaking to them about this whole mess would have given them some more insight into the problem.
The problem is although Kirby's intention is only to help and put customers' mind at ease, he is now been taken out of the equation and it is a shame because he is the only one who answers customers' queries despite having absolutely nothing to do with the whole operation.
I have sent 2 boxes to philand-ynterlink last November 2011 and 1 box last month but just like ur situation it hasn't been delivered yet.Kirby who collected my boxes sent an email informing every customers about their meeting with Peter newlove stating the problems they were encountering. Hence,he stated that Peter newlove s trying to sort the problem and be sorted out in 6-8wks time .unfortunately,Kirby (collector )sent an email again stating that he will be sued by Peter if he will keeps on answering queries from customers..that's so unfair for us.without letting us knw what's going on..![]()

oh please andy, if it is really true that people are receiving their boxes who are they?list them all and theyre numbers.i did my assignment. I inquired at philippine shippers bureau, philand is not registered and it is not rumors , it s all facts, and why are you the one explaining?where are the owners?where is the website?hello?then if u are really doing something about it.then make it fast.tell your boss to speak up.post the details of the boxes being shipped/vessel name and container numbers?
I've read through all these threads and before I start waffling on I'd like to thank andyn132003 for coming on here and explaining a few things. However under the circumstances it should be those at the top of the company who need to speak up and give the facts to the customers.
EVERYONE with a problem with this company needs to contact the Trading Standards Office IN BRADFORD ASAP. It is only the local office that can deal with it and if they get a flood of complaints in a short time they will act on it.
You may be answerig customers yourself but those at 'head office' are ignoring everyone, and even shut the site down which fires rumours even more, rather than put up a clear message on the sites home page explaining in detail all the problems, and an unreserved apology. It's as simple as that to put customers minds at rest. I know, I've been running a numerous businesses for over a decade.
The company are not allowed to do that by law, and would serve no purpose anyway.
In conclusion, some rumours can actually be fact, but by the company leaving it so long and ignoring emails, calls, taking the site down that makes it look like they are no longer in business and the customers have lost everything, so no wonder they areoff. The company has let this go on so long it's no surprise various rumours are going around when they could have informed customers from day one of the issues and kept them informed and then you have happy customers regardless of delays. Very easy and simple to do, especially as the company probably has the customers email addresses.
The company has a right to reply on here, but if they do I'd suggest they just publish an apology and state the facts of what has happened and how it is being resolved, along with the more important matter of where are the boxes and when will they arrive. Then finish the post clearly stating they will not be posting further replies on the forum so that 'slanging' matches do not start. I'm sure all customers concerned would be grateful for such information.
If the owners had ordered say a £2000 TV from a High Street store in the UK and they said it was out for delivery, and then it never turned up and for 3 months they couldn't contact them via email, phone or a website, they'd be happy would they? Of course not, they'd be seething mad and start posting rumours on the internet, chasing up Trading Standards, and kicking up a big fuss. This is supposed to be the way the company look at the issue from the customers point of view, but they have not and have failed miserably on all levels of customer service, and it is a long road to fix that, especially as it was all so easy to prevent from the first day problems started appearing.

Our information is not based on gossips and hearsay but based on facts. We have made enquiries to shipping company and Philippine customs so we know the score. Now it's far too late for Philand Ynterlink to regain their customers despite having the cheapest prices around ''no chance not again'' . . . . We should not have wasted our time and money to make all these enquiries just to established the facts . . . . it should have been the company owner 'Peter Newlove and Yonne Newlove' that directly told the customers but instead they ignored us . . . . . would you go through the same hassle again for a cheaper price???

I have phoned The Cogtong Fast Cargo in the Philippines today and they confirmed to me that all boxes are safe they said they have two containers but waiting to release as the Philand Ynterlink has not paid the customs yet,and still waiting for the money, I ask them if they are struggling to contact the Philand ynterlink regarding on the Payment and said to me that "NO" they always have communication with Joseph Galo Which I believed he is Yonne's Bro and she told me that it will release soon and not to worry with boxes as the container are safe, If you all received email from Kirby, then it just confirmed all the datails on Kirby's email is True. Cogtong fast Cargo also told me that those two container are been there since January 27,2012.
I have sent loads of boxes that's why I'm panicking when my boxes did not arrived after six weeks,although we are getting loads of information that boxes are being delivered but there's still not enough information if OUR boxes are in one of those Containers that Cogtong confirmed, or it's somewhere else. at this moment, on my own Opinion I think I'll just wait for it and hoping that it will arrive soon on which on kirby's email said it will take 6 to 8 weeks from the date we received his email which was on 27th of March 2012. , speaking to the staff of Cogtong makes me calm a bit but still not happy for the service that PHILAND Ynterlink provided to us.
I have received a text message coming from my agent here in southport that Yonne texted her and this is what she said
"There are being delivered as fast as we can but courier in Philippines we had turns out are under investigation by psb but all boxes safe just getting very late due too many unreliable couriers out there"
This message contradicting to information I have gathered from COGTONG itself, although there's only 2 containers which they confirmed held on their behalf,Perhaps they have managed to release the other containers and they started delivering it which what ANDY NISBET telling us all about on his Post and there's two more containers pending on which Our boxes could be there.
Well, I hope so..so fingers crossed that all our boxes arrive soon in our family's door step.![]()
Hi to all in response to tony we did already got in touch with bureau of customs in the philippines and it has confirmed that philand is one among many who hasnt paid. 4 of us here in liverpool has already reported it to the trading standard....we dont know what will happen next .....i did call the office where their warehouse is located in bradford but unfortunately no one knows them. As far as i know they live in hull but im not really sure only kirby can answer us as to where they live and i think kirby would'nt be accused of breaching the data protection act kung pati din sya ay magrereklamo din against sa mga newlove., s he is just trying to help us and also he is a victim of this as the customers keep on contacting him is'nt it,i have a telephone number for a peter newlove in bradford but everytime i call the man who always answer says i got the wrong person and he does'nt have a business at all.......there is only one peter newlove listed in the telephone directory if you all would like to try it this is the number XXX XX XXXX6 Goodluck as to whoever can give inforation as to their whereabouts. Hi all! we have checked Philand Ynterlink's website and what Kirby said to us confirmed what was on the website's public notice though a little bit more in details!!
However, people still wonder why Peter Newlove and especially Yonne Newlove (a Filipina) do not speak to their customers themselves????
We understand they may not have a done a runner but what a way to run their business!!! no communication for almost 2 months . . . . . a torture to customers
We again have spoken to Kirby Carino with regards to this legal pursuit and I think a lot of people misunderstood. What Kirby explained is that he cannot give too much information in details about Philand Ynterlink's operation especially personal details of the business proprietors due to data protection act. In most cases yes he can get sued by providing these details and that he is only abiding by the law. We understood this and it is far better than having no clear explanation at all!! Thanks Kirby
I am also one among the numerous customers whose been waiting for my box to be delivered to my family but unfortunately has been victimised too,there are a lot of us communicating before in their own company blog but somebody has deleted that site and obviously it will be the newlove only..........with regards to that ANDY it seems he is the only one answering all the queries instead of the owners itself irregardless of them dealing with this matter they still owe it to us to update or answer our questions.....he seems to be protecting them......and even if somebody has done a runner in the Phil's peter and Yvonne should have a contingency or back up plan when such prob occurs and not let their customers suffer they opened this business they should be prepared for any prob such as like this...........and as to what Andy said that they will still continue with this business I doubt if there will be Filipinos who will trust them coz I myself won't and will never use them again even if they are the cheapest I would rather pay a different price as long as my box will reach on time and safely. I have been abroad for 15 yrs and this is the first ive encountered prob with my box this is definitely the first and the LAST with Philand ynterlink.
i don't beleive what philand announce,because when they pick up our box peter said ,his brother inlaw whos the one who managing all the boxes in the phil,so don't blame your people in the philippines,all you need to blame is your brother in law because he is the one who look after all the boxes.peter and yonne how many time that i ring you and text you but you never answer my calls even my text.we spoke to your site manager in bradford,he said theres a lot of boxes in your warehouse,and he sais loads of pinoy been in your warehouse and trying to get their boxes out!as the site manager said,u stop sending the boxes since february!im wishing that my box is still in your warehouse!you can't blame people do all this comments,because if you answers our calls then we can't think negative about your cargo.if thee is a problem tell us and answer all the call and text from us!

As usual in the UK people always blame someone else, they never take responsibilty themselves. If a business gets screwed, ripped-off, etc, it is their fault and they have to act so that customers either notice nothing wrong or issue compensation quickly. The company is responsible for which sub-contractors they use, government services, etc, no matter how 'corrupt' they may be. But the company should not be blaming others in public, it is an internal matter. All the company should be interested in within the public domain in the UK is customer satisfaction.

After so many weeks of trying to contact him,but anyway his reply to me was all boxes are safe and will delivered as soon as got extra staff to help delivering the boxes.
I thank Peter newlove for replying on me,and I will just hope that my boxes will delivered soon..I will wait for another week or so and hopefully it will all be sorted.
Back to Andy, is there any chance you can post the address of the warehouse or shipping company where those containers of balikbayan boxes kept?particularly the Manila based.As you said boxes are already being delivered,I want to know where this boxes kept before it been delivered to respective customer?Thank you.
