Wink How God Made the English???

just waiting for our dinner to be done, sort out the little one, waiting for my hubby from work, chill & relax for awhile on the settee and as I browse channels from the tele this catches my attention "how god made the english" at BBC 2, 8pm tonight.

hmmm...alright then, I'll watch it. Change channel if it bores me hehehe....

the program just made me feel boring sorry to say this...but i just leave it on to see if there's something that interest me. When I was little we have english literature in our subject. It amazes me when it comes to the king & queen. Being young I loved watching their clothings with lots of bling blings.
When I arrive here in the UK I learned more and about a very old story of King Henry VIII. I forgot the title of the program. It was when he asked the Pope at that time to divorced his wife to marry his mistress but the Pope refused. He still marry his mistress and he killed the pope then later killed 2 of his other mistresses. I think that's how Church of England started. (please correct me if I am wrong, trying to refresh my memory).
It's just that in the Philippines. When u heard the word England, you thought of a black taxi, buckingham palace, queen, london bridge, big ben....etc. And one thing...English are arrogant. (ooppsss sorry, I don't want to offend anyone....) This is what I told to my husband. My husband's eyes just goes big and says NOOOoo to continue about my story, my husband once told me that england is not all about what I learned from school. He said England also have homeless people, bad area, etc....and it was England who started slavery.
Now to make my story short....I always ask my husband....Shine? (as what I call him) Are you really English? (because...he's a very happy go lucky person, shy at first and a very caring loving man, never been arrogant). He just laugh everytime I ask him the same question crazy me.
Well, the program is like a history on how english man are being brought up. It's always about the religion & slavery as well.
If you can't say something nice. SHUT UP!. Simple.
