    Smile Newbie here

Hi everyone! Im 26yo Filipina. I just made this account now. And I need help for some information on how I can get closer to my boy living in UK. He is Polish working in Scotland. We have not met yet but we both are serious about our relationship as lover and he is planning to visit me soon.
Can I have any info please and what to do best so I could be in UK with him? Thank you very much.

Im frustrated about this long distance love we have, I want to be with him so bad.. :(
And while reading from forums here, I just get jealous of couples who were successful with their quest for making their dreams come true. I want to be one of them as well.
So here I am patiently waiting for some answers.solutions to this. Any help or response will be appreciated.
    Thank you.

Hello Korinai, welcome to the forum.

You will need to have plenty of patience.
The first step on your journey is to actually meet face to face and spend some time together.
The next step will be to decide if the two of your are compatible and ready for either marriage or civil partnership.

Once you are married or have arranged a civil partnership you would need to decide where you will live.
If you both decide that you would want to settle down within the EU, say UK for example then your husband will need to apply for the appropriate EEA family visa that allows you to join him here.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks to your reply, appreciated much. It's my very first time to post in a blog like this. Am Im doing this for him and for myself..And Im kinda inspired with the love stories here with almost same situation as ours.
yeah, he is just about to renew his passport and then we gonna meet on October. Hope it goes will, coz I long dreamed of it. But anticipation is killing me, us actually :(
I got one more question, he asked me to research on a working visa, do you think its more effective than for example, fiancee or spouse visa?
We really dont have idea about this matter and its legality.
All we know is that we wanted to be together, just like any lovers. Thats why I am here.

Hi Korinai, and welcome to the forum.

I would urge you not to get too carried away with the love daydreams just yet.

Until the guy has made the effort to actually go to your country, has met you and your family and you've had enough time together to know whether or not you are compatible in REAL life, certainly join us here on the forums, but do understand that it has taken a lot of time, money and yes...true love for members here to form the happy relationships that they now enjoy.

    Good luck...but slooooow down.

OK. But it's as well you're fully aware that falling in love is a gradual process. And the fact that your online boyfriend intends visiting you in the [fairly] near future is a good start.

I'm sure you ARE! There's nothing "bad" about wanting that "special someone" to be by your side ... it's perfectly natural. Moreover, once you get to know - and feel comfortable with - that person, everything else will, eventually, fit into place.

You have not said which nationality you have, so I guess Filipina.
Here is the UKBA webpage for working in the UK

Unfortunately, as a non-EEA national, your chance to secure permission to work in UK is almost zero.

Without knowing much more about the circumstances of you both it's really not possible to be specific with visa information.

As you bf is Polish I guess he does not yet have "settled status" which means in principle he will not be in a position to follow the normal Fiance(e) / Spouse settlement route
He would most likely need to follow the EEA Family Permit route. This effectively means you can join him as a Family Member. As I said in my earlier reply this really means the spouse or civil partner of an EEA national.

Korinai, you really are thinking much too far ahead at this stage of the relationship.
You have not even met so far.

There are many changes likely to be made before you are ready to cement the relationship by marriage.
The information I have indicated to you is the current status.
    This may change.

Of course I'm not saying don't make plans, but just slow down.

It almost sounds as though you will do anything to get into the UK

Hi Korinai and welcome to the forum .
As the others have said meet him first and see how it goes.If he feels the same way he will be prepared to travel and meet you. If the relationship is meant to be everything else will fall into place in good time.
    One step at a time.

Hello Korinai and welcome to the forum

As you have yet to meet I too would urge you not to make visa plans until after you have met and had a chance to sort your feelings for each other out.

I married a Filipina in 2008, I loved her very much but it was a one sided marriage all she wanted was the visa and air fare

    I ended up divorcing her.

I hope all does work out for you both.
    Mick.
