... probably got some cushy directorship lined up to step into. One can only hope that - unlike the perpetually-increasing number of scruffily~dressed presenters allowed to appear in front of the television cameras these days - he has the good grace to wear a tie for his interview.
Personally I never believed Mark Thompson was ever really up to the job.
But then, hey, what do I know.
Saw another example of their excesses in the press recently reference Gary Lineker on top of trousering £2 million a year for doing Match of The Day the BBC pay for him to First Class Rail it up to Manchester for the recording and chauffeur him back to Virginia Water afterwards
