single/married. tax ref:

I was wondering if any of our members has got married in the philippines and got children there. whilst back in united kingdom and working, would you be classed as a married man or a single man. I support my wife and children and have done so for 4 years, but never declared this to the tax office. I thought she had to be in this country to claim as a married man. I was thinking of making further enquiries, but just wondered if anyone knows anything further about this issue.

I'm sorry to tell that there are no tax breaks for being married. Period.
