I have seen the movie twice already.

I don't see eye to eye with my ex wife but one thing I hold my hand up to her for is her ability to judge a good book. I think she has been through at least 3 paperbacks a week for the last 45 years or so.

Having said that, I haven't read it. But the uptake on the movie has been off the back of the success of the book, which is hard to argue with.

Harry Potter bores me rigid. But I enjoyed this one.

I understand what you mean about fundamental flaws. But writers and music writers break the rules sometimes and get away with it. If it works, it works.
