    Sending documents to philippines

    Hi,

Has anyone used FedEx to send any documents to the Philippines. As I sending my supporting information for my wife’s visa. I’m wanting to know if it is easier to have a collection from my home as I don’t have time to drop it off due to my working hours and also if there is any special requirements for this.?

    Thanks

You should be fine with any of the big established couriers.

I had a passport sent out to me from the UK when I was in the Phils (DHL) ...delivered to the door no probs.

You can 'track' the docs online all the way too.

    Best ask Fedex about collection.

Yes I used DHL ...they are well know even in the Philippines they have plenty of outlets ...I will say though my wife went to the outlet in Manila to collect her documents I had sent (visa application) because when the wife phoned them they said they had nobody available for a couple of days to delivery them to her door !!

But yes I would use them again if I wanted to send to the Philippines ..I still think they are the best for this destination.

Here's the DHL service locator. Maybe it can help you. Search the nearest one to your postcode

I have no experience with FedEx, but would imagine they will operate a very similar service to the other major players.

Personally we only use DHL, simply because they have a few 'service desks' within easy reach such as at our local Staples outlet and also WH Smith in the town centre.

We've never had any issues at all with DHL

Check out what sort of rate Staples & Smiths are charging it might be cheaper to go straight to DHL

    http://www.dhloffers.co.uk

or probably even cheaper to use a reseller such as

    http://www.parcelsplease.co.uk
    £30 UPS or £38 DHL

i did make sure the address was correct dont wanna make the mistake of getting wrong at this stage .

i went to the local staples store after i seen it from you guys on here as its open on a Sunday. It cost me around £34.98 which i thought was good price as i thought it was going cost more than it did.
