ELECTRONIC security gates are to be introduced at Edinburgh Airport in a bid to reduce delays at immigration.

Similar system needs to be installed in Isle of Man but there is a big furor because of the costs involved.....

Some of the automation, when actually all added up, would probably work out more then employing some additional staff over 10-15 years.

Automation is great when you're doing your washing, but people do actually need jobs.

UK and other European Union travellers will be able to use the ePassport gates rather than queue for manual checks.

thats a good news,...glad i renewed my passport before flying to the uk
