I used the word "touring" jokingly. But it seems representation from the Philippine embassy does indeed "tour" the country and will indeed be in Belfast in April. "..... in Belfast at the Belfast City Hospital from 21 to 22 April 2012". See Bluebird Jone's thread.

As for Life in the Uk tests. I dont know about Belfast but imagine you can do it in Belfast. I know my wife can do hers on the Isle of Man. We wondered if she might have to take the boat to Liverpool or something but no, not necessary. Theres a heap of places around the Britain where it can be done.

I think the visit to Northern Ireland by the Philippine Embassy will mean, for example, if you needed a new passport it could be processed via them. Or a name change....maiden name to married name, for example.

You can do ILR by post....if you wish. But I imagine, again, you can do it locally in Northern Ireland by calling into to your nearest designated office.

In any case, as far as I know, the Life in the UK Test and ILR doesnt really have anything to do with the Phils embassy as such.

(In our case, it will probably be a 30 minute walk to submit our ILR application in the Isle of Man.)

We were asking exactly the same questions a few months back. We have come to the conclusion, after consulting with forum members and a few phone calls to the Isle of Man Immigration department that we wont need to leave the Isle of Man for either ILR or The Life in the UK Test. (Isle of Man is a slightly different case but it is essentially the same)

See this link. It leads you to a pdf for the ILR application form. On it you will see a phone number and a Belfast address. I am sure this will make a good starting point for your enquiries....It looks like it is for the premium service, which appears to be a lot more expensive, but I imagine they will explain other options.
