Yes. We went twice. Once to drop off paperwork and visit the civic (city) hall and then the following day for the marriage. I felt uneasy there, especially in a whistle and flute as I stood out like a saw thumb. Got in, got the job done and got out. All arranged by my wife. We had a driver, so navigation was smooth and easy.

From a personal point of view I am not in a good position to say. We had a straight forward simple wedding. No frills. but from what I gather, you can have a much more lavish wedding ceremony for your money than you would back in the UK. I recall Rickyr talking about this just a few days ago.

I recall seeing somebody getting married in Boracay, on the beach and it looked fantastic.
