I had to reach for the sickbag halfway through reading this. It just shows what scant regard some of these public servants have for taxpayers money. Whoever authorised the purchase of these beds in the first place plus the fellow traveller members of the Police Authority should be sacked for gross abuse of public funds

As Ded says, they shouldn't have been bought in the first place . It's been well known for some time that sunbeds are more dangerous than natural sunlight - risks of skin ageing and cancer .
Don't use them ( unless under medical supervision for certain skin conditions ). The police should be making sure under-18 year olds can't use them in gyms or health clubs ( they're illegal for that age group ) or doing something more useful.

Amazing really, I've a mate who works for the MOD plod up north on anti terrorist duties and they are so short of cash he's had to buy some of hiw own kit. Their training has been quartered and they are very ill-equiped for their specific duties. Plus there isn't even a gym at his establishment.
