Fiancee Visa in Just Around a Week

Mrs Lastlids friend put in her Fiancee visa application in last week - April 2nd so they got it at the lower rate - and received news of success today. It took about a week. Their previous application was turned down, for reasons that I am not entirely clear (possibly anullment issues so I gather) and so were successful on this 2nd time around. She is flying to Lincolnshire at the end of the month.

Well done to your wife's friend. Again ... I wonder if the sudden rapid turnover could've had anything to do with the Embassy clearing its backlog - including those who most recently applied at the old rate - in order to make way for the new batch received after the new fees became effective?
