I hope yours is soon, but for some it has taken 3 months.
Stay strong and all will work out.

Yes, ... it's hard to leave our loved ones behind ANYWHERE, Patrick - and so much worse when they're 7,000+ miles away. Most of us on this site know the feeling only too well!

I've mentioned *this before - several times on here - *that I got married in the Phils in December 2008, my wife applied for her Spousal Visa on January 20, 2009 and, being already retired, I twice extended my stay there ... hopeful of accompanying one another to the UK on February 19 (the date we'd put down with cautious optimism). Alas, it turned out to be a forlorn hope ... as the visa was approved a mere 4 days after I returned home again.

Anyway ... I shouldn't imagine you will wait much longer now.

It's a sad and emotional time Patrick that's for sure.
Most of us here have experienced that feeling.

I hope the visa is approved soon. Stay positive and stay strong for each other.

We all share the same feeling so do not worry, you are not alone ... Nobody wants to live away from the one you love. It was a year ago when I last saw my fiance in person. I could still remember the day I accompanied him to Davao International Airport ... I did not get inside with him but just gave him a VERY quick hug, and "BYE".. I did not want him to see me cry I just did on my way home, in a bus...

You will be with her soon.. So do not be too upset. Enjoy the view of living alone
UKBA,UKBA I am dreading to hear from you...
UKBA, a BRP for Christmas will do...

Well as it stands right now the 'dreaded' proposed changes have not been introduced.
Hopefully there may be a workaround or even some legal challenges that delay full implementation.

But I believe your thinking represents a good alternative strategy.
As it stands right now any EU country you decide to go to could be a big help visa -wise.
If you have language skills that will obviously help. I don't know if you have any yearnings for a specific country, but don't forget that Ireland still has some good opportunities and also English language.

    Stay positive and stay strong

    Hi Patrick,

I talked to your wife and she said that she lodged her application last 20th of March, so more or less it's still on your 5th week of waiting! Just hang in there! we waited ours for 3 months and 7 days..that was freaking longgg! I know Rotsen's spousal visa will come very soon! Just pray and think positive!
