I am applied for fiancee visa last March 28 and till now we still don't hear from the embassy it's 48 days from the day we applied. My fiance want me to call to the embassy to follow-up. Is it ok to do that or I just patiently wait. Please advice me.

Here is what UKBA say about processing times:-
Service standards
We have service standards for processing UK visa applications. Our standards say that we will process:
90 per cent of non-settlement applications within 3 weeks, 98 per cent within 6 weeks and 100 per cent within 12 weeks of the application date;
and 95 per cent of settlement applications within 12 weeks of the application date and 100 per cent within 24 weeks of the application date.
Please note that we define 1 week as 5 working days.

YEHEY!!!! finally I received tan email from VFS to collect the passport and the document. After 7weeks. I didn't see the result yet. Hope it's positive. Bless us Lord...
