what do you mean wrong is it typo error??....if it was me , i will go ahead with my applicaton for the visa and just file the petition for the change of entry/correction of error later ....you can file the petition even if you are out of the country.

Hello sars,in my birth cert i was born in Dangcagan Bukidnon that's what i put in the form when we applied for marriage cert but i just overlooked the data in our MC,instead of Dangcagan Bukidnon they put Cagayan de Oro as my birth of place....do you think i will not encounter problem with ECO coz they datas are different???

(A clerical or typographical error refers to an obvious mistake committed in clerical work, either in writing, copying, transcribing, or typing an entry in the civil register that is harmless and innocuous, such as a misspelled name or misspelled place of birth and the like, and can be corrected or changed only by reference to other existing record or records.)

good luck on your visa applicaton
double check every documents next time ...i still dont think the clerical error in birth place will harm your visa applicaton( if you will sort it out eventually or have it corrected later)... I would worry if the error is through both you and your partners name or nationality as it needs to appear in visa stamp.
