I don't think there is any formal qualification needed to engage in any employment as a carer.
Once you have gained employment with a decent employer you should be able to study your NVQ courses in social care.

A place for everything, everything in its place.
My daughter didnt. She is in manchester.
She did that for about a year, then got a job as a nursing assistant at the Manchester Royal Infirmary.
She now specialises in diet, Moy.Dietetic Nursing.
She is one of the reasons that I am more careful about what I eat these days....![]()
That is what she did. I am not saying it has to be done exactly that way. She had just failed her degree (in Russian of all things) and was at a loss at the age of 24, as to what to do instead. So she ended up as a care assistant for about a year, maybe a bit less and then applied for a job as a nursing assistant as she wasnt qualified as a nurse. She is still a nursing assistant but is on the verge of becoming an RN (Registered Nurse) . To become a fully fledged RN she has had to study.
The time spent as a care assistant helped her get a foot in the door with her nursing assistant job.
In dietetics she is involved with those that either over eat in a big way or don't eat enough for their own good...![]()
