Baby UK Passport

Hi everyone,

My gf Jen is in the Phils now and is 8 months pregnant with our son. When he is born we will be applying for a British passport for him. Does anyone know if this can be done by post to the embassy or does it have to be done in person?

Hi and congratulations!
We've just done exactly the same and it can be done via a courier. Sorry I'm on my phone so don't have the link but the info for first time applicants from the RP is in a PDF on the gov website. Think it was about P7000? Inc DHL charge from UK to RP, we used a BPI managers check and an LBC prepaid return envelope for our passports/photos/hospital birth records etc. Embassy/LBC returned our docs in about 1 week and our sons UK passport turned up about 3 weeks later.
