have this happened to you? Hassle in applying BRP RC

I already have my biometric residence permit (FLR M) before and I applied for BRP RC to change my name from maiden name to my married name. I got some issues regarding my application

1. I received a letter from Home Office to have my biometric taken again in the participating Post Office Branch, when I went there, the barcode in the letter is not readable

2. I called the immigration Bureau (which took about 25 minutes before they answer my call) and advice me to book an appointment online instead

3. I tried booking online but the system is down. Emailed them about my problem and they adviced me to call Immigration Bureau so they can book it for me. (Why didn't they tell me that they can actually do it for me?)

4. Managed to get through the phone line (longer than expected) and they booked my appointment

5. The day before the appointment, I recieved a text from UKBA that my booking has been cancelled and need to book online

6. I logged in to book my appointment AGAIN and there are no available dates close to my location. The available ones are about 200 miles away. And the 15 working day allocated deadline is over.

I emailed them again about this and got no response yet. I am stranded and can't do much now especially my passport and documents are with them. If only they didn't mess up the barcode in my letter in the first place, I wouldn't have this much trouble Please Help

gook luck my wife changed her brp to my surname its been two and a half months since she did her biometrics and she is still waiting for the new card and all of the documents back. we phoned ukba they said it could take up the 6 months before she gets it
