You can get free software to make it easier to read/search/print ... but I've forgotten the name of it ... it is mentioned on here a couple of times so try the search

I just tried right click "Select All" and got it all in one....then copy then paste.....was able to copy from March to September 2011
thank you so much for all your help Win2Win and lastlid but i am able to save it using notepad....
Skype doesn't automatically keep all the chat though, you need 3rd party stuff to manage it.

I have the software, how do I add it here??
Well there is an option to save chat log but it converts it into one mass of data so that you cant space out the duration and date and time.
So what i do is go into log history and print screen and paste into paint and save as Jpeg and past that into a file. Thta way I have clear details of the date, day, how long i Have skyped for and the phone I called or the person i called.
Its good proof I a real friendhsip because you can clearly see how many hours you chat to your loved one.
This is only data mine, and not all my soppy love talk with my girl

I only have the file to install it ,not a link.
I used Sky History when doing mine and then went through it deleting things I didn't want someone else reading before printing it off.
