He was on Have I Got News for You, last night. Chairing it. They were saying that it's all a ploy so that no one turns up for the Olympic Games so Britain get all the medals....
clarksons, up his own ....,
everytime clarkson opens his mouth its usualy crap that comes out,
just my thought dont mean to offend anyone, i may add
some how i dont think he reads this,
Haven't heard of a Filipina blowing anything up yet or sponging off benefits, so yes, I agree with him.
Need a special queue for 'dubious characters'.
The thing is, like him or not, he's right. I travel a lot and have used Iris scan for years, not for long as they're scrapping it - it always worked for me. Anyway back to the point, the UK/EU queues are far too slow, they need to use some common-sense profiling. Plus they need more front line staff on all the counters.
Btw I like Manilla's immigration, nice and quick, I even beat my 'local' lady through as they were interested in her passport stamps and various visa bits. I even managed to get through the locals line when exiting the country too to save queueing :-) (and I don't look like a local!)
the best way to get through immigration i think is just take your time walking through the airport, no rush then you dont get fustrated, watch as everyone rushes past you trying to get ahead, once through your case is waiting for you and all the rest of the people have gone
Never taken me more than 30 mins to get out of Manila airport.
People are always moaning about NAIA, but personally never had any problems, and quite like the place.
Bags never searched either....just lots of smiling faces....especially the taxi drivers...until I walk off and get on the Jeepney.
to get thru immigration at manila was only 10 mins, but coming back thru Manchester airport, an old couple by passed the queue and some guy jokingly shouted ' hey there is a queue here' and his wife shouted back 'you haven't got cancer' you could hear a pin drop
its good to be back in sunny salford nice 9c instead of 39c
Must remember that one.'you haven't got cancer'
Last time I cleared Heathrow immigration there was not a white immigration officer behind any desk, so I guess we have been taken over
It does make you wonder....plus 100s of staff at the Home Office/UKBA.
No chance of corruption there then.
Ever looked at the ethnic mix of those loading the bags on your plane ?
And then she had the cheek to ask me where I had just come from
i must admit when we arrived at heathrow this jan from our holiday, the queue was quite long and i did notice this white chap in front of me and emma was just him and his young son, his wife/partner was in the other queue, when he got to the front and went to the counter the asian man asked where his partner was and then tolf him to fetch her, you travel together he said so enter together, which i thought was very good of him, made the queue wait too, its good watching the peoples faces who are waiting, plus can anyone tell me before mobile phones and tablets what the hell did we all do while waiting
