I can't remember with Cathay whether you can checkin for both flights at tT-48hrs for the first one, with most you can but I think Cathay is included, you'll find out at the time.
Seating wise, Cathay charges for the leg room seats unfortuntely.
Personally I only take Aisle seats when travelling economy, I hate being squashed in and like to drink plenty of water when flying.
