"Pork is not the only meat" would be a good title for a movie about Philippine cooking. I have nothing against the humble baboy, but not for breakfast, lunch and tea, every day of the year. Sometimes my mahal makes me shepherds pie made with beef which I appreciate, but what I really like is a bit of lamb (which she says smells funny). Unfortunately the price of lamb has made it a rare luxury. I had some diced lamb recently, medium-rare fried, smothered in mint sauce, what an experience!
