... how awful! Unfortunately, it seems scant regard is paid to safety regulations on Phils modes of transportation ... as I observed during each of my two stays there.
What a terrible tragedy...As Arthur states there is no health & safety in the Phils
AN HAPPY WIFE IS A HAPPY LIFE
I never had a thought that things like that happen when I rode in them, but when we think about it there is danger everywhere
RIP
Mick.
I won't click on the link, because I'd probably find the report too upsetting....poor loves.
Sad news. The jeepney is barely recognisable.
R.I.P to those involved.

When you add overloading it's an accident waiting to happen. Many accidents in the country are blamed on poorly maintained vehicles and roads, inadequate driver training and weak traffic law enforcement.
We have TFC and watch the news reports such as TV Patrol every day. These kinds of accidents and fatalities happen almost daily.
Implementing anything like the regulations we have in UK would cost such huge amounts that nobody would be able to afford the cost of transportation.
