Tax Identification Number?
You have to go to the BIR regional district where you are registered. however, if you applied your TIN with the assistance of your employer, BIR usually mails the TIN ID cards to the address of your employer
You have to fill up BIR form 1905 and submit the completed form to the BIR office in the city where you currently work / last worked.
Your tax identification number (TIN) actually has 12 digits - the first 9 digits is what you have while the last 3 digits represents that revenue district office ( RDO ) covering the area where you are currently / last worked.
You can download the BIR form 1905 from the BIR website - www.bir.gov.ph. The download forms icon is near the upper left corner of your display screen.
hi lastlid, yea as far as i know thats what they are asking her for,but she doesnt work,so were and how does she get one thanks
She would only have TIN (Tax Identification Number) if she's working..It's not necessary to have TIN in opening a bank account. If she has SSS (Social Security System) number that would be fine..If she doesn't have that too, I'm sure it's not a problem. She just need to tell the teller that she doesn't have that. It's only for identification purposes and she can use other government issued IDs like passport or postal ID.

I did a few searches and it is said that she can apply for a TIN via BIR website https://ereg.bir.gov.ph/ereg/welcome.do and according to some of what I read, banks like BDO and Chinabank doesn't require TIN, as long as she has SSS..

jayzel your fiancee can open an account in BDO even if she dont have TIN # as long as she got one valid i.d
My wife didn't need a TIN number to open her BDO bank account.
When my son was born, we weren't yet married and for whatever reasons the certificate of live birth required a TIN number from my wife. We headed to a government office (City Hall?) in Cebu and paid around 30 peso and received a TIN number, it was very easy.
