UK visa curbs putting off Indian students?

"Amidst renewed calls to the David Cameron government to review recent curbs on student visas, the British universities have reported a significant fall in applications for courses from India for the forthcoming academic year starting September-October.

The actual scale of fall in students from India and other non-EU countries will be clear by September, when students arrive to start their courses, but lesser number of applications received by April-May suggests that international students may be looking elsewhere."

    Good.

Maybe there'll be some space for our own kids.

My boy is going to Sweden to study.

    He says it's free !

That's ok....his mother will be paying the rest, and of course he'll be free to take up a part-time job.

He's been going there regularly for holidays the past 2 or 3 years, and already seems to have lots of pretty young Swedish girls on his Facebook friends' list.

UK visa curbs putting off Indian students?

The gauge for this will be when you no longer see brown faces behind the jump at your local petrol station
