hi gang..

is it safe to visit home(philippines) while on a 27 month spouse visa in the uk?

i came here on the 29th of July 2011 on a 27 month spouse visa and i want to visit home dec 2012/january2013....

is it safe to do? is it wise to do?i cant find anyone else who has tried this?

If anyone has any info..would be much appreciated...

Yes, you can take that holiday no problem.

You're not a prisoner here, but there is a limit for time spent out of the UK each year.

You'll be well within that limit.

My ex and I had lots of holidays back in the Phils during her 'probationary' period.

there is no set number of days you need to be in the UK to apply for ILR, that's at the discretion of the case worker, thou the UK is suppose to be your home, but there is a limit to the number of days you can be out of the UK when it comes to applying for citizenship, but as a guide you should have no problems applying for ILR or Citizenship if you dont leave the UK for 90 days or more each year.
