Unhappy Please Help! I got refused.

    Hello,

I am so upset... Please advice me who to Appeal for my fiancee visa. I was refused for a reason that I DID NOT PROVIDED TO THEM THE SATISFACTORY EVIDENCE TO SUGGEST THAT WEDDING ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE IN THE UK. I asked my fiance to get a Notice of Marriage in the Register's Office in Cirencester but they required both of our present will go and process the Notice. But how can I? I am here in the Philippines.

Please advice me what to do, what document to submit to prove them that our intention to get marry in UK is true? How to get Notice of Marriage in UK even if I am here in Philippines?

Please.....? any suggestion of filing an Appeal? More about Oral Hearing and Papers decision please...? I really can't understand. I am so upset.

    Please Help Us Lord...

Yes u are correct ,you cannot get anything from the registry office until u both attend so what they are asking is not practical. When we applied towards the end of last year, I just put in my sponsorship letter that we couldnt provide any tangible proof other than we would marry within the 6 month time period allowed and this satisified the ECO and the fiance visa was issued. They seem so heartless at times the way they play with peoples lives and emotions.

SET1.18 What evidence is required of marriage arrangements?

The ECO needs to be satisfied that it is intended that a marriage in the UK will take place.

The law relating to marriage in England and Wales does not allow for any arrangements to be made with a Registrar until the foreign national has arrived in the UK. Of itself, a booking at a Register Office or church is not proof that a marriage will take place.

The ECO can reasonably expect the couple to have made some tentative plans for the wedding. Any evidence that may be available that wedding arrangements are in hand may help in this respect.

inconsistency in granting someone and then refusing someone else what evidence do they want that the marriage will take place, they dont list it because they even state if you could book a register office, it still doesn't mean the wedding will take place, why not send UKBA a invitation

Yes its a real travesty Joe as all I put in my letter was that we wouldnt be booking a hall, cars, photographers or anything else associated with a big wedding as it would be a small affair with a reception back at my house for close friends and family. In effect I provided no evidence at all that we would be getting married other than a statement in my submission letter so are they appyling double standards or is it down to the whim of the individual ECO dealing with each case who decides on the probability or not of a marriage taking place but what criteria do they use when we didnt have this problem.
Hopefully someone here will know of the grievance or appeal procedure She von can utilise to sort this disgraceful decision out and join her loved one in the UK

This is why I say it needs someone at the UKBA in Manila to check the applications over before the final decision is released. For the purposes of standardisation. Sure it can be done. Even if it requires an extra employee as the money they charge warrants that. Verification is what is required. Otherwise someone in one corner of the ECO office can give a different decision for a similar application to someone else in another corner of the same office. No rocket science here. And purely because it is expensive and it can cause so much stress and heartache, otherwise.

When I submitted my application last year, I just submitted a letter from the Superintendent Registrar of the Registry Office where we plan to marry (Keith sent her a letter about it)..we also submitted a photo and receipt of the engagement ring..Below is the copy of the email..

It's annoying that ECO's are trying to refuse applications now just because of a very minor detail.. It's like they're on target of how many to refuse in a day

Thank you so much for replying. I am really very upset of this refusal. I cried the whole night for this and until now I don't know what to do to convince them. May fiance kept calling the register and ask advice and they're going to give us a booking from register's office but then now I found out still not enough proof for them that we really wanted to get married in UK. I really don't understand... I am so upset. And my worries is my fiance he is depress because he leave alone. I don't know what's the purpose my we are experiencing this. All I know we don't deserved to be treated this way.

Now, if still don't have the visa after the appeal.... my fiance decided to sell his house and we build our family here in Philippines. And for me, it's ok... as long as we have each other. But I am so upset, hurt, mad, depress.:-(
