Its good to see the law being enforced. It seems that so often the laws are in place but aren't actually enforced.

Agreed, great to see an actual prosecution although it was with the Philippines' usual speed.
Dont know the circumstances but....It could be that the farmer was an uneducated man and honestly didnt know the bird was endangered. If he was hungry and poor, of which there are many, then a $100,000 peso fine would seem unfair.
