I too married a Filipina, but the marriage was very one sided, she mostly wanted the visa and money
I can with hindsight see I dived in too quick, but it felt right at the time.
It has not put me off trying again but as I am now retired, my income is too low.
Glad it has not put you off the Philippines, I too would like to return some day.
