My wife's passport still has her maiden name in it. She never changed it and didn't have to. She will probably change it when it comes up for renewal here in the UK. Some felt it was easier to do this - removing any chance for error with the passport application etc.

    Welcome to the forum,

My wife recently renewed her passport to show her married name to me. As long as you have all your NSOpapers and wedding certificate together it is pretty straight forward. You can use some travel agents too to assist in getting your papers in order too, but this comes at a cost. It really isn't a problem.

    Good luck

Hi Jen, welcome here to the forum.

    You'll get no problems.
The most important is that you have a valid UK entry visa.
Just have your marriage certificate handy.

    Good luck

Yes Jenn..The CFO certificate is important requirement for change status on DFA since we are married to foreigner. I just had my seminar last week at the CFO because I will also change my status on my passport.

Yes Jenn it's just a One day process prepare P650.. P250 for the seminar, P400 for the certificate. They will also suggest you to buy a booklet information about the country you are going which is about 150 but it is still up to you..

There isn't really any necessity to change the status on your passport at this stage, Jenn - either for CFO purposes or for travelling to the UK - as long as the surname matches the one shown on your Spousal Visa when it was issued.

    Meanwhile, to our midst.

Yes. And Jen, although we didn't do this intentionally, it sort of saves you a little in expense.
